JASON LOWE
With a highlighted career spanning over a decade, Singer Songwriter Jason Lowe is somewhat a veteran of the Australian music scene.
Having supported the likes of All Our Exes Live In Texas, Kim Churchil, The Wilson Pickers, Jeff Lang and Eric Bibb (USA), Lowe is widely revered as an artist in his own right, and as a musically diverse and experienced multi-instrumentalist.
A two time Byron Bay Blues And Roots Festival performer, Lowe has also performed at such festivals as Queenscliff Music Festival, Mullumbimby Music Festival, and the Port Fairy Folk Festival.
Praised by Australian blues legend Lloyd Spiegel as “Unique and sublimely talented. One of the finest lapsteel players you’ll hear anywhere on earth” his exceptional skills as a lap slide guitarist, acoustic guitarist, lyricist, storyteller, vocalist, and performer are wholly unique and astounding.
His words and music are mesmerising, deep and profound. The musicality lush and romantic, sweeping and serene, powerful and affecting.
A timeless Singer Songwriter, Lowe is akin to such modern artists as Laura Marling and Leif Vollebekk, though he could be thought of as belonging to the early 1970’s Singer Songwriter kindred, following in the footsteps of such artists as Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, and Neil Young. Having released three well received full length studio albums and a highly successful debut EP, Lowe has been featured on Triple J, PBS, RRR, and ABC radio nationally throughout Australia. His most recent record ‘Sorrow & Splendour’ is widely regarded as his strongest work to date.
JACOB PEARSON
Jacob Pearson, a singer-songwriter hailing from Australia’s scenic Central Coast, would appear to be your average young man to the nonchalant observer. It's when he steps on stage to embrace his audience, extraordinary things are exposed. Through his ethereal melodies and soaring vocals, Jacob has a way of drawing you in, as you become oblivious to your surroundings.
His journey into the world of music was not premeditated. During his final years of school, he found solace in the strings of his dad’s guitar. It wasn’t long before he was shaping his own songs and eventually gaining the confidence to share them. His talent did not go unnoticed for long. Sony Music recognised his potential and offered him a platform to refine his craft. This opportunity allowed Jacob to collaborate with some of Australia's most esteemed songwriters and producers, including Jon Hume (Evermore, Lisa Mitchell, Matt Corby) and Louis
Schoorl (Passenger, Megan Washington, Daniel Johns). The experience not only fostered a stronger musical identity but also enriched his understanding of the music industry.
In his recent endeavour, Jacob teamed up with multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Bowden to form the duo PLGRMS. The pair created an alternative, dark pop style that has resonated with listeners across the globe. Their combined streams on Spotify and Apple Music alone have surpassed the 15 million mark, a testament to the popularity of their distinctive sound.
Right now Jacob is embracing his roots, stepping back into the solitary spotlight. This is not just a return, but a rediscovery of his individual artistry, a chance to reconnect with his creative identity, and an exciting new chapter in his career.
