Inspirational singer & choir director, Tony Backhouse returns to Brisbane to deliver a fun & spirit-filled workshop. His workshops are accessible without being simplistic & open to interpretation. Emphasis on harmony, collective improvisation & freedom of expression in the tradition of the African American Church, where singing is passionate & intense. Bring water. Tea/coffee on tap. BYO lunch or join Tony at a nearby cafe. When? Sat 23/3/2024 (10am-3pm, doors 9.30am) & Sun 24/3/2024 (11am-4pm, doors 10.30am) @ Lecture Room 1, St Francis Theological College, Milton (Two entrances - entry via Baroona Road between 27 and 31 Baroona Road opposite Milton Village Shopping Centre & entry via Milton Road towards city before the large brick XXXX brewery sign). Actual address: 233 Milton Road, Milton, Brisbane. Plenty of parking, however, bus stops outside entrance and train across the road.NOTE: You can book for either the whole weekend or just for one day (either Saturday or Sunday).
