Australian blues/folk/jazz icon Margret RoadKnight, best known for her 1976 top 40 hit Girls In Our Town, plays “Margret RoadKnight Comes Full Circle” unplugged at the Melbourne Athenaeum Library. Songs and Stories reflecting her 60 years on the acoustic music scene, both in Australia and around the globe.Margret played her first show in 1963 at the Emerald Hill Theatre at the invitation of folk icon Glen Tomasetti. In the 70s and early 80s, Margret released a series of acclaimed albums mostly via Festival Records, and toured the world numerous times, often representing Australia. Some of the many impressive artists she has shared stages with are guests on this album, including Judy Bailey, Phil Manning, Jeannie Lewis and Judy Jacques. In 2018 she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the inaugural Australian Women In Music Awards.
