About

Praiseworthy, Alexis Wright's most recent epic novel, is set in a small town of that name dominated by a haze cloud, in which a crazed visionary seeks out donkeys as the solution to the global climate crisis and the economic dependency of the Aboriginal people. This is a novel which pushes allegory and language to its limits, a cry of outrage against oppression and disadvantage, and a fable for the end of days. It is also very funny! Alexis Wright will join us in person for the discussion, which will be hosted by Nicholas Jose and Theodora Germanos-Galanis.
