Our first workshop in the Murray Arts and Crafts Society Inc's 50th Anniversary Community Workshops Programme made possible by generous support from the Shire of Murray, Alcoa, Mandurah Murray Mayday Inc and Doral Mineral Sands Pty Ltd.In this 4-hour workshop highly skilled printmaker Jane Button will teach you how to create a small edition of original lino prints to hang on your wall or give as wonderful handmade gifts.
Firstly, Jane will demonstrate methods for transferring your design onto the lino plate and then guide you through the cutting process.
Next you will learn how to print your image, including discussion of different rollers, inks, and papers.
You will then be able to use a mini press and a large etching press to make your prints, and also have a go at hand burnishing using a variety of barens.
Suitable for beginners, as well as intermediate printmakers wishing to expand their knowledge and skills. Ages 18+
