Tiffany Forster Pastel Workshops part of our 50th Anniversary Community Workshops Program made possible by generous support from the Shire of Murray, Alcoa, Mandurah Murray Mayday Inc & Doral Mineral Sands Pty Ltd.Tiffany Forster is a pastelilst, most recognised for her birds, landscapes and large floral paintings. She works from her home studio and en plein air in nature, inspired by the light and colour that abounds in Australia. Her plein air work took out two major awards at last year's Plein Air Down Under Festival.
This workshop will focus on how to use a tonal underpainting as a basis for your work, creating drama and harmony in your pastel landscapes.
We will discuss how to choose different coloured papers to make your paintings pop, practise simplifying your subject, creating a strong base, &v then building the pastel up in layers.
Suitable for those starting out with the pastel medium or those who would like to try an alternative approach.
