The Mornington Peninsula National Trust Branch offers a rare opportunity for a guided a tour, at leisurely pace by a knowledgeable local guide, through some of Mt Eliza’s prestigious State-Heritage-Listed garden estate – designed c. 1924 by renowned architect Walter Burley Griffin. The guided tour will include a first-hand commentary on the history, heritage dwellings and various architectural styles developed over the years throughout the stunning curvilinear streetscape of the estate.Upon finishing the walk, coffee or glass of wine are available at own cost in the Ranelagh Clubhouse overlooking Port Phillip, with a short presentation by Victoria Grounds, author of ‘Ranelagh a Special Place’ - an in-depth examination of the concept and development of the Ranelagh Estate (with copies available for cash purchase).
