Finding the Money follows Professor Stephanie Kelton and other economists, on their mission to flip our understanding of the national debt and explain Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). MMT accurately explains where money comes from and how sovereign nations' currency and economies actually work. It empowers citizens to challenge governments when they claim they 'can't afford' to solve existential crises such as Climate Change. The 90 minute screening will be followed by a Q&A with Maren Poitras (film director) and sustainability and ecological economics experts from the University of Tasmania.Location
