We can’t even begin to tell you how excited we are to host Purpose Camp 2024! The Sydney Catholic Youth team and Youth Leaders from across the Sydney Archdiocese are working hard to make this year's high school camp bigger and better!
So, if you are currently in years 9-12 then come have the time of your life these upcoming holidays with tons of friends you haven’t met yet! There’ll be heaps of time for games, activities, talks, discussions, prayer and a chance to grow in your faith. This camp is so big we can only run it once a year so get on board now or miss out!
Who: Purpose Camp is for highschoolers in years 9 to 12 led by Sydney Catholic Youth in collaboration with Youth Ministers from across the Archdiocese of Sydney. All leaders will hold a current Working with Children Check and have many years of experience in youth ministry.
When: 9:30am, Monday 22 April - 1:00pm, Wednesday 24 April, 2024
Where: Benedict XVI Retreat Centre, 347 Grose Wold Rd, Grose Vale NSW 2753.
What to bring: A list of required items will be sent out to participants a few weeks before the camp. The Archdiocese of Sydney will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal property during the camp. We would also expect participants to step away from their usual access to technology while on the camp. (There will be opportunities for participants to check)
Program: An outline of the program will be shared with registrants a few weeks before the camp, however, some of the main elements of the camp that participants would expect include; games, activities, short talks, discussion groups, prayer, access to the sacraments (confession/mass etc) and of couse, social time.
Child Protection and Safety:The Archdiocese of Sydney considers the safety of all participants at the camp is of utmost importance. All staff and volunteers have undergone child protection checks, careful screening and training.
