Music Interlude #2. This 'solo concert' is a fantastic new initiative in 2024, providing some of our young musicians the opportunity to perform as soloists alongside the Symphony Orchestra. This concert will also include performances by the Intermediate & Advanced Choirs and Vocal Ensemble.Pieces being performed are:
1. 'A Thousand Miles' by Vanessa Carlton
2. 'Andante' from Piano Concerto No. 21 by Mozart
3. 'City of Stars' by Justin Hurwitz
4. 'Winter' from the Four Seasons by Vivaldi
5. 'Libertango' by Piazzolla
6. 'When the Earth Stands Still' by Don McDonald
7. 'Gabriel’s Oboe' for Soprano Saxophone by Ennio Morricone
8. 'Allegro' from Double Cello Concerto in G Minor by Vivaldi
9. 'Days of Beauty' by Ola Gjeilo
10. Chanson du Toreador from Carmen by Bizet
Doors will open at 5.30 for a 6pm start.
Snack food & hot/cold drinks will be available from 5.30pm - card & cash sales will be available. (No change will be provided, so please bring small denominations)
