A Home not a Museum: Pictures in English Country Houses
Art collections in Country Houses are unique. They are lived with and reflect the personal taste of the owners as well as the ethos of a particular strata of society through time. Susan McCormack, Director of Carrick Hill, will explore the collection and display of paintings in the English Country House up to the 20th century and its influence on the Carrick Hill collections.
