Speakers: Dr Sue Wareham OAM is President of the Medical Association for Prevention of War (Australia). She has spoken and written widely on peace and nuclear disarmament issues for several decades. Dr. Raewyn Mutch is representing Doctors for the Environment, a national organisation of doctors working for a healthy planet.
The AUKUS agreement will bring more nuclear- powered subs to WA ports, land more foreign forces on Australian soil, reduce our sovereignty, and make our region less secure. But AUKUS is not a done deal. Join this discussion about rising militarism, local implications of AUKUS, nuclear safety and regulation issues, the human and environmental costs of war, and how people across Australia are organising to scuttle AUKUS and forge a path to peace.
