Second Election Policy Forum
About
Last month we held our first Election Policy Forum ahead of the October ACT election. As you might imagine, we had many topics to deal with as members raised their issues and took the opportunity to vent – a little! I cannot emphasise how important these Policy Forums are as we refine and prioritise the issues that members want us to advocate for in the lead up to the October election.
You won’t be surprised that the list of issues included:
- Workforce across primary, public hospital and community settings at all career stages
- Concerns over fragmentation of care
- The need for better integration of care
- The use of data to aid evidence based policy
- Mental health
Our second Election Policy Forum will build on the information you have given us develop our policy proposals.
Whatever your health-related issue, potential solution, daily irritant or good idea, this is the place to continue the conversation. The format of the second Election Policy Forum will see us kick off with a single combined session, including a summary of what you’ve already told us, and then move into facilitated break out groups to take the next steps.Location
