This is the first in 'The Prince Edward Wurlitzer Centenary Concert Series'.Celebrating the centennial year of the Marrickville Wurlitzer with Tony Fenelon at the console.
Known internationally as "The Mighty Little Wurlitzer". Wurlitzer, opus 875 was originally installed in the Prince Edward Theatre, Sydney in 1924 and was in continuous use until the Theatre Organ Society of Australia (TOSA (NSW)) purchased the organ in 1965 when the theatre was scheduled for demolition.
TOSA then re-installed it in Marrickville Town Hall over the next few years and its opening concert was held in 1968. The organ is still owned and maintained by TOSA (NSW).
Tony will play a selection of music celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Marrickville Mighty Wurlitzer.
