Guest speaker Victoria Engel SC
Victoria Engel SC was recently appointed as the new Director of the DPP here in the ACT.
She is an experienced Barrister with expertise in appellate and jury trial work.
Prior to her work as a Barrister in the NT, Victoria was the Deputy Director for the NT Director of Public Prosecutions where, in addition to running high-profile and complex trials, she was heavily involved in policy advice, and the provision of high-level expert opinion to external stakeholders such as NT Police, ICAC and other agencies.
Before moving to the NT, Victoria was a Crown Prosecutor in NSW, and worked in the UK in tax fraud litigation.
