Horse Tram Operating Day
About
The Ballarat Horse Tram No. 1, will be operating on Sunday April 7, from the northern end of our tramway. Services will start at about 11.00am and the last trip will leave about 3.30pm, from the Gardens Loop, near Piper's Restaurant and the Fernery. This is the annual outing for the tram, which is over 130 years old, having commenced work in December 1887. Don't miss a chance to ride on the tram, which is the oldest operating tram in Australia. There will be some great opportunities for photographs.Adults $15, children $10, concession $12, and family $50 . Tickets includes rides on our electric trams and entry to the museum as well.
