4A invites you to join the opening day celebrations of LEGEND OF ASIA® SPORT SHOES, presented by the Vietnamese-Australian art collective, VŨTRỤ Inc. on Friday, 5 April from 6pm to 8pm at 4A LAB.VŨTRỤ Inc. will transform 4A LAB into a hybrid temple-sneaker concept store for the ASIA® SPORT SHOES, exploring divinity and consumer culture. The exhibition reimagines a mythological timeline surrounding these ‘legendary’ Vietnamese shoes, offering a satirical take on hype culture and contemporary art. Don't miss this exploration of the sacred within a pair of shoes by emerging Vietnamese artists.
Supported by City of Sydney Innovations grant; LEGEND OF ASIA® SPORT SHOES by VŨTRỤ Inc. is the first exhibition in 4A’s new early-career artist program. A site-specific activation of the 4A LAB, which prioritises research and artworks that are grounded in experimentation, technology, and change.
