2024 Basketry Workshop using NZ Flax with Christiane Keller (SOLD OUT)
About
The basketry course focuses on the use of natural plant materials. This workshop is a one-day course working with the New Zealand Flax plant. The flax will be supplied and participants will first learn how to prepare the flax. The prepped flax needs to dry and then be rehydrated for immediate us. Student will then use the flax and the twining technique to make a small container or bag.Please note that basketry can be a slow craft, and you may not finish your project in one day. You will however leave with the skills to be able to complete it in your own time, and to start further projects.
