UK-based architect and educator Sho Ito (P’07) will be our first Richard and Janet Southby Visiting Fellow of 2024 with an exhibition and presentation exploring how our natural resources are being commodified on Friday 19 April.Sho is in Australia to present a series of exhibitions and public lectures entitled ‘Nature’s Treasures: Celebrating Earth’s Natural Resources’, which explores how our natural resources are being commodified and politicised, with specific reference to the role of architects and architecture in the efficient use of limited resources. On his return to Corio, Sho will also talk about his time at GGS, studying in the UK, and his practice as an architect and university lecturer.
