DRACULA: The Last Voyage of the Demeter
Dracula: The Last Voyage of the Demeter is an original take on the Dracula legend, written by playwright Sean
Carney.
The play is set entirely below deck on board the infamous ship, The Demeter, as it travels to London from Europe with the deadliest of cargo;
Count Dracula.
Captain Atkins and his crew have managed to capture a monster. Trapped in a cage below deck, Count Dracula is chained and confined at the
mercy of his captors. Above deck however, grisly murders continue almost nightly but not at the hands of the King of vampires; there is a
murderer aboard the Demeter and the crew and passengers each take their turns in questioning the Count on how does one catch a killer?
Part gothic horror part ‘Silence of the Lambs’, this unique take of the myth is a tense who dunnit in which the audience is asked “When given
the opportunity, what do you ask the Devil’?
