LivingWorks safeTALK half day in-person workshop teaches you the skills to identify someone with thoughts of suicide, ask them openly and directly about suicide and connect them to a keep safe connection for further help. Since its development in 2006, safeTALK has been used in over 20 countries around the world. safeTALK-trained helpers are an important part of suicide-safer communities, working alongside intervention resources to identify and avert suicide risks.

Workshop features:
* Presentations and guidance from a LivingWorks registered trainer
* Access to support from a local community resource person
* Powerful audio-visual learning aids
* The simple yet effective TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe
* Hands-on skills practice and development

To be eligible to register for this workshops you;

•  must be a resident of and/or hold a work or volunteer position in the North West Melbourne PHN region, AND
• must identify as part of the Culturally or Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community, AND/OR
• Work or volunteer for a service that directly supports the CALD community.
