Understanding Inclusivity for LGBTIQA+SB people (SOLD OUT)
About
This 4 hour workshop is supported by LGBTIQ+ Health Australia (LHA). Switchboard Vic has developed this training as an introduction to the LGBTIQA+SB Lived Experiences of Suicidal Distress Workforce Development training which is taking place on 23 May at the Vic Pride Centre. This training is suitable for anyone who works in community mental health.In this online workshop you will learn about:
• Switchboard - the work of the organisation
• Understanding our histories, intersectionality and anti-racist ways of working
• About mental health and suicide
• LGBTIQA+: what do they mean?
• Pronouns: why are they important and how do you share them?
• Community engagement: Inclusive practice
• Moving to an understanding of lived experience of suicidal distress.
Once you have completed this workshop you can attend the second training session on 23 May which will be held in person at the Vic Pride Centre.
