About
Sci-fi and genre cinema have been hugely popular at the box office in recent years, with audiences lapping-up the wildly imaginative approaches, metaphors and characters. In this program we focus on films that take us off-world or to unfamiliar psuedo-scientific spaces and alien encounters.
What unites these films is the sheer cinematic hutzpah to tell stories that span whole universes. Exciting, alluring, enigmatic and in some instances downright hilarious, this is a no-brainer for genre lovers.
