Knowledge & Know-How in The Bush with Jake Cassar (SOLD OUT)
Join Lorien Landcare in welcoming Bush Encounter Facilitator, Jake Cassar. Jake is a renowned bushcraft teacher, youth leader, environmentalist and recognised authority on edible native and introduced plants.
Saturday, May 18th | 1pm - 4pm
Sit around the fire for a yarn, make bush soap, find animal tracks and locate and learn about bush tucker and medicinal plants. Bush orienteering and safety are two of many of Jake’s specialities. The topics are highly engaging for young people and adults. The workshop is aimed toward ages 9 and up.
This event is FREE, thanks to the support and funding of Hawkesbury Nepean Environmental Network and Sydney Primary Health and Well-Being Network. It is limited to only 30 participants.
Arrive by 12:45 pm. Wear closed shoes and clothing suitable for an afternoon bush exploration. Snacks provided. Meet near the rope climbing frame, in the lower primary school campus. Nearby parking is available.
