Creature Comics with Gabby Loo at Forrestfield Library

Create a unique zine comic with artist Gabby Loo, drawing inspiration from creatures local, imagined and mythological. Here participants will learn how to character design, draft comic panels and ink their final artwork. This workshop will also feature zine techniques such as collaging and DIY book making.
Artist Bio:
Gabby Loo (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist based from Whadjuk Noongar boodja, Boorloo. Gabby’s creative practice explores retro-futurism, speculative ancestral histories, and poetic symbolism. Gabby holds a Bachelor of Design: Fine Arts Major from the University of Western Australia.
This creative event is part of Zig Zag Gallery’s Paper Treasures exhibition program. The incredible exhibition can be viewed at the Zig-Zag Art Gallery from May 11th to June 9th.
This is a free event from children and adults; however, bookings are required. All children attending must be accompanied by an adult, however the supervising adult does not require a ticket.
