With support from the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI), the IELLEN is excited to announce a ‘Career in Maths’ event targeted at year 9 and 10 students.We expect to have over 40 stallholders showcasing exciting careers to inspire students to continue studying maths (and address the decline in enrolments) in the senior years and reduce maths anxiety.
Students can meet industry reps covering pathways in Actuary, Engineering, Data Analytics, Geology, Robotics, Software Engineering, Meteorology, Cellular Biology, Sports Science, Government and much, much more.
Each stallholder will have a maths challenge/equation for students to complete and highlight where each pathway sits within VCE maths.
