UniSC's Theatre & Performance welcomes all to "Did You Hear the One about the Irishman...?" by Christina Reid
Northern Irish playwright Christina Reid highlighted the political, social, cultural and human impact of The Troubles on the Belfast community. Set in 1980s Belfast, Allison & Brian are lovers in the vein of Romeo & Juliet. With both families against their relationship due to ongoing sectarianism, the lovers navigate societal expectations. As a theatrical counternarrative, Reid provides a stand-up comedian to explore historical tensions through a series of insensitive Irish jokes at a Belfast pub.

There will be an understudy performance on Saturday, May 25th at 2.00pm.
