Step behind the scenes with Dancenorth as we prepare to stage an Australian-first for championing inclusivity with our brand new work.
Lighting the Dark is drawn from the rich imagination and deeply compassionate heart of Chris Dyke, a Kaurna (Adelaide) based dancer and choreographer living with Down Syndrome. Joining forces with Dancenorth and some of Australia’s leading creative designers, Chris will be the first-ever artist living with Down Syndrome to direct a full-length work for a mainstream dance company.
Our Under Construction event will give you the chance to peek behind the curtain on this groundbreaking collaboration.
Join us for an open discussion about the project, including:
• Embracing inclusivity, diversity and collaboration in the creative space
• Exploring and honing big ideas to curate something both epic and cohesive
• Navigating health, safety and wellbeing with a hard deadline
This will be a facilitated discussion led largely by enquiries from you, our guests.
