Through Shadow Puppetry and Storytelling these workshops for kids and adults explore the world of light and dark, and all that is in between...

This school holidays join Rosy Toranzo, local Puppeteer and Arts Facilitator, in a celebration of Winter. Participants will be guided through a process of story creation, puppet making and learn animation skills for Shadow Puppetry. The sessions will culminate in a joyful sharing of our new Shadow Puppet Stories, that can be taken home and retold by the fireside.

This is an opportunity for big and little people that love arts and crafts, theatre and storytelling to make, create and animate in a collaborative accessible workshop.

The workshop includes:

• An intro shadow puppet story performed by Rosy to inspire the participants.
• A behind the scenes and ‘how to’ make and animate their own works.
• Participants will then create characters and invent stories.
• Make their own Shadow Puppets.
• Perform their new stories behind the screen.

No experience required; all materials provided.

Please note drawing and the use of scissors will be required, so the kids workshop is for children aged 7+

Cost:  $ 30
