From the Barracks to the Burrup - An Overview of the National Trust in Western Australia

Join us to hear about the history and current work of The National Trust of Western Australia.  

With a mission to connect communities to the value of WA’s diverse natural and cultural heritage, the Trust manages 66 locations around the state, as well as over 20, 000 collection items.
It also helps to protect more than 180, 000 hectares of endemic bush through a private land covenanting program.

 

About the speaker

Kelly Rippingale has been with the National Trust in WA since 2001 and now leads the Trust’s Asset Management Area. She holds degrees in architecture and history and has worked for the over 30 years in government, private and the not-fot-profit arenas, in both WA and the UK, focusing on the management and adaptive re-use of heritage places.


HERITAGE SKILLS ASSOCIATION WINTER WARMER TALK SERIES

This series will showcase a range of local heritage professionals shining the spotlight on WA heritage places, projects, current challenges as well as provide a chance to meet other individuals interested in or working in these spaces.

Anyone with an interest in learning more about heritage and our environment is invited to attend as well as those studying, working or looking to enter the industry.
 

Date: Wednesday, 26 June 2024
Time: 5.45pm arrival. Talk starts 6pm. Event Concludes 7.30pm. Light refreshments will be available.
Venue: City of Perth Library 573 Hay Street, Perth
Cost: Free, book now as places are limited.

 

This event series is run in partnership with the Heritage Skills Association endorsed by Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage and Heritage Council WA.
