Experience three unforgettable days in the stunning Victorian desert as you master the art of off‑road adventure. This immersive course goes far beyond basic driving. It prepares you and your vehicle for the real challenges of sand dune and desert environments, all under the guidance of highly experienced instructors.

You will sharpen your driving skills across multiple sand types while also learning the essential tools of true outback confidence; map and GPS navigation, tyre‑pressure management, safe wheel‑changing techniques, puncture repairs, and a full suite of recovery methods from simple self‑recovery to advanced sand winching. We also cover emergency and mechanical repairs, plus smart camping practices and desert etiquette, with a strong focus on safety and protecting the fragile environment around you.

To participate as a driver, you’ll need to have completed the basic Safetrek 4WD course or an equivalent certification, ensuring every participant arrives ready to take their skills to the next level.
