This 4 day course held in Victoria, covers vehicle preparation and the varied driving techniques required to traverse the different types of sand found on sand dune and desert environments under the guidance of experienced instructors. Throughout the course along with your driving skills being further developed, we will cover map and GPS reading, safe wheel changing operation and tyre puncture repairs, recovery techniques including sand winching, emergency and mechanical repairs, camping tips and etiquette with special attention placed on your safety and care for the tracks and the sensitive surrounding environment.  It is a prerequisite to participate as a driver that you will have completed a basic Safetrek 4WD course or equivalent with another certified provider.
