Eastern Paper Textile Basics
Learn to turn paper into cloth. Explore the paper textile traditions of Joomchi (Korean paper felting) and Momigami (Japanese paper texturing and strengthening) and take away small sample pieces that you have made yourself. Paper textiles and cloth can be used for 2D textile projects, soft sculptures, fashion accessories and even clothing! This workshop will change the way you see paper and open your eyes to the possibilities of paper textiles.
Suitable for beginners + experienced students. Specialist papers/products for use included in the cost. Additional papers will be available for purchase on the day. *minimum of 8 students required for course to go ahead
