Join me for a practical lunchtime workshop where we will take a deep dive into all things related to lisps.
Are you a recent graduate and not sure how to treat a lisp? New to private practice and now have lots of lisps to treat? Have a vague idea of lisps but unsure of the actual process? Just plain-scared of lisps!!
If you answered yes to any of these questions, this workshop is for you!
Topics to be covered include:
- What does normal production of ‘s’ actually look like?
- What to look for in the oral motor exam, when assessing a child with a lisp?
- What actually is the long t method and what does therapy look like?
- Other sound elicitation cues that work well for lisps, including lateral vs interdental lisps (s,/z, sh, ch/j)
- Practical considerations for therapy including cognitive reframing and generalisation tips
- Case examples
