Poetry on stage, alive and vibrantly exciting! The Tasmanian State Final of the 2024 Australian Poetry Slam, hosted by 'Words United' for 'Word Travels', is being held at the Australian Italian Club, Launceston. 414 Westbury Road Prospect Vale on Saturday 7th September. Doors open 6.30pm, event 7.30pm - 10pm. $5 entry fee for audience members. Come along and support these Tasmanian Finalists, who have competed in events throughout Tasmania to be here on the State Final stage! They will have two minutes to impress you, and are vying for a place in the National Final being held at the Sydney Opera House in October! Come and hear their original work, performed in under two minutes... bar open (no BYO drinks)... bring food to share with your table, and money for the raffle...
