EACH DAY NOW RUNS 8:30AM-5PM TO BETTER ACCOMMODATE OUR PARENTS (Additional hours 8am-6pm available at $10 cost per day). $300 fee covers all 6 days of the holiday workshops Tuesday July 9th-Thursday July 18th!
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE EACH DAY:
WEEK 1:
TUESDAY 9TH JULY:
1. Lotus Light Drama-Meet Bridget! Bridget is doing her Masters in Dramatic Arts and has created an afternoon of improv, costumes and EPIC themes!
2. Anxiety-We teach the kids the tools to be ANXIETY'S boss by teaching breath work-We also explain what anxiety is and why it's important to humans.
3. Creative Capers-Postcards from the edge-Learn creative writing in a different way!
WEDNESDAY 10TH JULY:
1. Sound Healing-Cynthia's sound healing and yoga workshop will see the children using crystal singing bowls and Tibetan chimes to create their own vibrational healing songs to help them relax and transform their mind, body and soul.
2. Being our Authentic Self-Authenticity and being who you are at your core can help you create a more streamlined expectation of yourself and being aware of your strengths and weaknesses.
3. Pouring Paints Art-This Art Kart will provide the kids with an opportunity to be creative with pouring paints fluid art! This involves mixing colours in paint pots and pouring them onto the easel instead of using paintbrushes.
THURSDAY 11TH JULY:
1. Soldier Fit Kids- Hayley from Soldier Fit Personal Training will run a workshop where the children will play fun fitness games, design and run an obstacle course, create their own movement board game to take home, dance their hearts out and to finish it off we will perform mindfulness breathing and stretching! There are also prizes to be won!
2. Bullying-A MUST DO verbally interactive workshop with Child Counsellor Nicole Neave. This workshop gives the kids the opportunity to speak up about bullying (and share stories if they feel comfortable) and learn the best ways to deal with a bully!
3. Make Personalised Bunting-You can hang the bunting over your bedroom door, windows, bed or garden. Huge choice of colours to choose from!!
WEEK 2:
TUESDAY 16TH JULY:
1. Moonbeam Jars-The children will make their very own self-esteem Moonbeam Jars that shine in the night with fairy lights to remind them of their authentic strengths!
2. Dance Mania-Dance and Movement Therapy-Be the dance teacher, costume designer or the student! Then you get to perform the dance pieces you created to an audience.
3. Friendships-Making the right choices regarding friends can make or break your child’s social and school life! This is an interactive wonderful workshop for any child. Facilitated by Counsellor Nicole Neave.
WEDNESDAY 17TH JULY:
1. AZTEC ART-Let's create AZTEC ART with Michelle from VersaTile in celebration of 'ALL SOULS DAY' (aka Dia del Los Muertos). This is a day of remembrance and celebration of the lives of the departed loves ones. We will be honouring this ancient tradition by painting an 'Ofrenda'-an offering of a SUGAR SKULL in the Mexican FolkArt style on a large canvas.
2. School Hassles-In this open discussion, the kids get to share what their individual problems are at school. e.g. School refusal, bullying, school subjects, friends, academic support or teacher problems. Kids love to be heard! Counsellor Nicole Neave will be there listening and offering advice and support.
3. Open Art Kart-Kids have free choice to create what they desire! They can decide to do painting, drawing, gluing, creating, poster making...the possibilities are endless!
THURSDAY 18TH JULY:
1. Goal Setting-This is a great workshop that teaches your child why they should learn goal setting from a young age! Facilitated by Counsellor Nicole Neave.
2. Trivia (with prizes)-Lots of fun games, including great trivia and scattegories tournaments to play with the staff and your friends-PLUS win some great prizes!
3. Magic Moments-Meet Cat from Enchanting Experiences-Dive into a world of enchantment as we craft magical potions and wands using natural materials. This hands-on workshop combines creativity and nature to spark young imaginations and bring the wonders of magic to life!
We also have outdoor play with bikes and equipment, an open art and craft station, and access to all costumes and stage.
We are NDIS available and a nut-free zone. All food, drinks, and sunscreen to be supplied by parents.
