Through The Ages: The History of the Piano TrioThere is something incredibly special about a house concert, sitting back in the cozy comforts of a living room, enveloped by the most exquisite music of the classic era performed right in front of you by some of Australia’s finest musicians.
Joined by Denmark’s own Sarabande Ensemble, This beautiful house concert will do just that as Orenda takes you on a journey through the history of the Piano Trio. A celebration of the genre that has inspired composers to create some of the most cherished and enduring works. Featuring Mozart’s Kegelstatt Trio, Orenda set out to take you back through time, sharing stories and works from its origins of the Trio Sonata of the Baroque, right through to the lush sonorous soundscapes of the Romantic.
Join Adam Pinto (piano), Michael Howell (flute), and Alix Hamilton (viola), on a journey full of stories, inspiration and simply, beautiful music.
