Famed True Crime author Vikki Petraitis is Mentone Public Library’s special presentation guest on July 6.Vikki is one of Australia’s premier writers about the dark side of life, her ability to research and report on some of the nation’s worst criminal incidents drawing high praise and immense reader response.
A writer, presenter, teacher and podcaster, one of her favourite responses to her work is when someone tells her how her books have changed their life or influenced their career choice. There are many cops, forensic psychologists, podcasters, and investigators out there whose journey began with opening one of Vikki’s books. Whether that was ‘Inside The Law’, or ’Once A Copper’, or ‘The Frankston Murders’, amongst many.
As well as true life material, Vikki has successfully ventured into fiction, her first novel, ‘The Unbelieved’, winning the inaugural 2002 Allen & Unwin Crime Fiction Prize.
