2024 Introduction to weaving 2 with Liz Perry
For those with basic knowledge of weaving, ie how to wind a warp, dress a table loom and follow a simple draft. If you have attended an ‘Introduction to Weaving’ workshop this is a course to build on your skills.
The workshop will involve working with block drafts to explore a range of patterns, using both weaving software and traditional pencil and paper for drafts. Participants will weave a sampler and an item of their choice.
Each participant will discuss their project idea with the tutor several weeks prior to the class. There is the option of focusing on block drafts or the participant's own preferred project.
Course runs over two weekends, Saturday October 12 and Sunday October 13 and Saturday October 26 and Sunday October 27.
Looms can be hired from CSW for a period of 3 months @ $35/month, ($100 refundable deposit) or you can use your own table loom if it is suitable (check with tutors).
