Studying Insects at Gluepot 2024 (CANCELLED)

About
The aims of the workshop are to satisfy the curiosity of people who are interested in insects and their interactions with the environment; to train volunteer citizen scientists to observe, collect and preserve insect specimens at Gluepot; and to add specimens to the Gluepot reference collection of insects and other invertebrates. Dr Peter McQuillan will be our bonus presenter for 2024 – Peter is an entomologist from the University of Tasmania, with a particular interest in Mallee insects (Particularly moths); and is helping unravel the mysteries of the Looper Moth that has devastated the Mallee in recent years. The timing of the workshop should allow participants to witness Spring flights of the moth.Location
