The Royal Academy of Dance is pleased to present the Betsy Sawers Memorial Awards for 2024. Students from the ACT/Riverina region who have entered an RAD Exam in 2024 are eligible for entry into these Awards; and must be entered by their current RAD Registered Teacher. Awards are offered from Grade 2 to Advanced 2 levels, including prize money and scholarships.

Conditions for entry
- Participants must be studying the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus and be enrolled with a financial Registered RAD teacher in the ACT/Riverina region. Please note: when entering, you must provide your RAD Registered Teacher's name, their email address and your current dance school. There should only be one teacher's name provided (the teacher who is entering you for the Awards); and one dance school (if a different school entered you for your last exam, please note this school in the relevant field on your entry). The email address you provide for your teacher will be used by the RAD to contact your teacher to confirm your entry and provide any other relevant information (candidates/parents should not contact the RAD directly).
- By submitting this entry, participants acknowledge they enter in good health and will abide by the rules and regulations set. Entrants enter at their own risk.
- Students must have completed a graded examination in 2024 at the level they wish to enter.
- If a student has entered two examinations in 2024 they must enter the Awards at the highest level. Previous winners are not permitted to re-enter the same section in 2024.
- Students must be in uniform as per the flyer. Those who do not comply may be disqualified from the event.
- The adjudicators’ decision is final and no communication regarding their decision will be entered into.
- The Academy reserves the right to alter the advertised program/faculty/venue/method of delivery without prior notice. The information in this and other printed or electronic brochures/notices was correct at the time of print.
- NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR FILMING PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
- There may be a photographer taking photos and filmed footage during the event. These photos/footage may be used for competition and archival purposes/marketing future RAD events/publicity; and are not for external use or sale.
- Entrants may be called upon for media interviews arranged by the RAD Australia in relation to this event.
- Photographic and filmed material may be used in the promotion, delivery and reporting of the Betsy Sawers Memorial Awards and for RAD purposes. Each entrant (or their parent/guardian) may be asked to sign a Media Release on entry (please advise the Regional Manager if the entrant does not wish to be filmed/photographed).
- Parents/guardians/friends/family members/teachers of candidates are not permitted in back of house/backstage/warm-up areas unless given specific direction from an RAD staff member/volunteer to enter that area (due to safeguarding requirements). People who are found to have entered restricted areas or refuse a request to leave these areas by an RAD staff member/volunteer risk their candidate being disqualified from the Awards.
