This course offers a thorough exploration into oil painting and mixed media. Participants will enhance their abilities in colour mixing, texture creation, and applying diverse techniques. They'll delve into colour theory and composition, fostering their own artistic style. Nell will encourage experimentation with various materials for distinctive creations. - Composition Elements & Control
- Mixing Colours: Whites, greys, greens, etc.
- Creating a Still Life
- Exploring the Landscape as a Subject: The Outback, Night Scenes, City Scapes, Travel Scenes.
- Incorporating Figures into Your Paintings: Landscapes, interiors, cafes, etc.
- Glazing Applications
- Alla Prima Painting
All of the above can alternatively be explored using chalk pastel, gouache, or acrylics.
