House as Nude - Plein air with Michael Carney
About
SA painter and ceramicist Michael Carney will facilitate the final House as Nude plein air workshop for 2024.
Michael's paintings often explore lush, atmospheric landscapes, rendered in an expressive, alla prima style. These landscapes are imbued with symbolic elements and intricate compositions, inviting viewers to discover multiple layers and interpretations. Rooted in the sublime romantic tradition, his work seeks to capture nature's duality, evoking a sense of both beauty and terror.
Michael will begin this 2 hour session with a demonstration of alla prima paintings (wet on wet), a useful technique for working fast when plein air painting.
