SING FOR CAPRICORN TERM THREE
We are adults who love to sing. Our community access choir was established in 2015 with just 4 members and grew to over 65 members under the encouragement, guidance and musical direction of Jakki King. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes that was Covid 19, in 2024 SING FOR CAPRICORN is reborn under a new Choir leader Lorraine Manifold.
There is no audition, no need to read music (we do use sheet music but the I sing/ you sing method common in an aural tradition is also part of practice) and our Thursday night sessions are open for adults to attend.
Our emphasis is on fun and enjoyment of the music and each other while seeking to develop an understanding of the music and skill in our delivery.We have performed at Carols by the Beach, Festival of the Winds, Village Festival, nursing home and most notably a flashmob with Santa at Keppel Plaza (3 times so far).
