Flight Instructor Professional Development Program
About
We're aiming to address common misunderstandings and gaps in instructor training, particularly regarding Loss of Control In-Flight (LOC-I). Becoming a better flight instructor means integrating essential safety concepts from day one. In this program, we’ll focus on strategies to mitigate LOC-I from the very first lesson, emphasising the "FIRST FIVE" flight lessons and how to inject primacy into early training to build strong foundations. This program will run over the next 5 weeks and include a group “Google Meet” for a couple of hours. Participants will be assigned homework to ensure the best outcomes, improving training quality and cementing effective skills development for student pilots.
Note: This is not an attempt to standardise your training practices, merely to highlight training deficiencies found in student graduates and instructor proficiency checks.
