Yass Graveside Yarns: Spring 2024

Connect with the fascinating stories of early Yass Valley residents, such as explorer Hamilton Hume, pastoralist AB Triggs and victims of the evil William Munday. Share their triumphs, secrets and scandals while strolling amongst their headstones.This guided 90 minute walking tour will be conducted by volunteers from the Yass & District Historical Society.
Following the walk, join us for a BYO (bring your own) picnic lunch in beautiful Coronation Park.
Coronation Park is located a short self-drive from the cemetery at 259 Comur Street, next to the Yass Valley Information Centre. Free parking is available next to the park.
Please note: the ground at the cemetery is uneven and not suitable for strollers or those with mobility issues. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring sun protection and water. Also you may like to bring a chair or picnic rug for the park afterwards.
Toilets are not available at the cemetery, however there are toilets at the park
