About
Preparing for the arrival of a new baby can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially for first-time parents. Our goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident throughout your pregnancy, your baby's birth, and your transition into parenthood. Our Parent Education Classes cover a wide range of topics, including pregnancy, labour and birth, breastfeeding, and early parenting. Facilitated by experienced midwives, these relaxed and interactive sessions provide a welcoming environment where you can learn, share experiences, and ask questions.To further support new mothers, we also offer Lactation & Breastfeeding Education Classes. Led by experienced lactation consultants, these sessions provide practical advice and evidence-based information to help you feel confident with breastfeeding.
Topics include:
Understanding your baby's feeding cues
Positioning and attachment at the breast
Establishing breastfeeding
Common breastfeeding questions and challenges
Helpful information and support for breastfeeding mothers.
A guided tour of the Maternity Ward will be offered following the class, providing an opportunity to become familiar with the environment before the arrival of your baby.
Cost
$75 per class
Payment details will be emailed to you following your booking.
A receipt can be provided by the facilitator on the day of the class upon request.
Please note that these classes are not eligible for private health fund rebates and cannot be claimed through your health fund.
