Recently igniting the stage at Pranafest 2024, Dojo Rise are coming back to the Sunshine Coast!

Joining them on a double bill for a special event at Maleny Lane will be the local legends RENEGADE FUNK.

Renegade Funk is collective of musicians who play all improvised funk, soul, jazz, afro and reggae, created in the moment and inspired by the audience.

With members spread across two states, Dojo Rise has embraced their geographical diversity, infusing their music with influences from both South Australia and the Sunshine Coast. Their latest single 'Bit Of Your Time' is a testament to their ability to merge different musical styles and backgrounds into a cohesive, vibrant sound.

'Bit of Your Time' captures the essence of late 90s R&B and funk rock vibes, seamlessly blending it with Dojo Rise’s signature reggae tinged sound. The song explores the exhilarating feeling of finding that special someone who blows your mind, the thrill of trying to get their attention and that honey moon period when the energy is just so addictive.

Their highly anticipated EP 'The Best Part', set to be released 30th of August 2024, promises to be a collection of tracks that showcase the band’s evolution and versatility. Expect a journey through various genres, all tied together by Dojo Rise’s unmistakable reggae influence.
