Early Childhood Intervention Consultation

We'd like to hear about your experiences of early childhood intervention.
Kiind is running a consultation session for families of children with developmental delay or disability who have participated in early childhood intervention. This may include having worked with therapists, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists to help promote your child’s development.
We are especially interested to hear from parents and carers of children aged 0-12 years.
Questions at the consultation session will include:
-
What made early childhood intervention easier or harder for your family?
-
How does early childhood intervention build your skills and confidence as a parent?
-
Did early childhood intervention promote inclusion for your child?
This consultation is part of the review of best practices in early childhood intervention being undertaken by a consortium led by the University of Melbourne and funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Hearing from families is an important part of the review.
The review will produce a new best practice framework, resources, and tools. These will help practitioners, professionals, and families ensure children with developmental concerns, delays or disability have the best possible start in life.
Attendees will receive a $50 voucher as remuneration for participating in the consultation.
Please note, participants must have an Australian postal address, attend the entire session, and actively participate to receive the $50 voucher. Deidentified information from the consultation will be provided to the University of Melbourne.
