đź“– Our Story
Welcome to FBCS (Fat Beats Clean Shapes)—where gaming meets community! We are a passionate Perth-based gaming organisation, founded by Matt and Samuel. Our journey began when Samuel hosted a birthday LAN for 30 people, sparking the idea to create something bigger—a dedicated space for gamers to connect, compete, and grow together.
Though Matt and Samuel only met through gaming in their teens, their shared passion quickly turned into a strong partnership. Inspired by the camaraderie of events like RFLAN, they decided to bring that same spirit to life with FBCS. Today, our community has grown into a vibrant group of over 300 gamers from around the world, united by their love for gaming—especially Counter-Strike.

👤 Who We Are
Samuel and Matt are the faces behind FBCS. Samuel works in IT, and Matt is in the trades, but their true passion has always been gaming—especially Counter-Strike. The photo you see here captures a moment from one of the many RFLAN events where they played together as part of a Counter-Strike team. These experiences not only solidified their love for the game but also inspired them to create FBCS, a community where other gamers can connect, compete, and share in the same excitement they’ve felt over the years.

âť“ Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the tickets priced like this?
Unlike some other LAN events in Western Australia, which may have community spaces subsidised or rely on sponsors, our event is entirely self-funded. This means we don’t have external financial support to offset costs. As this is our first event, the ticket pricing is set to ensure that we can cover all expenses, offer competitive prize pools, and—most importantly—break even. This approach also allows us to plan for future events, ensuring that we can continue to build and grow the community for years to come.
What tournament can we expect?
While our primary focus is on Counter-Strike tournaments, we have a wide range of prizes to give away across multiple games. As you go through the ticket page, you’ll be asked which games and tournaments you’re interested in participating in. Based on your responses, we’ll announce additional tournaments closer to the event date, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
