About
With the right information, tools and strategies, you can live well with a diagnosis of MS.
Navigate MS is a two-part live online program facilitated by an MS Nurse, specifically designed for adults within the first two years of an MS diagnosis.
This small group program provides an opportunity to learn more about MS, ask questions, build confidence in managing your MS, and connect with others who are at a similar stage of their MS journey.
Across the two sessions, we'll cover:
- Understanding MS, including relapses, symptoms, treatments and management
- Navigating the health system and learning about supports and services available to you
- Practical strategies and tips from an experienced MS Nurse
- Building resilience and adjusting to life with MS
- Opportunities to ask questions and share experiences with others at a similar stage
Who is this program for?
This program is designed for adults (18 years and over) who have been diagnosed with MS within the past two years.
The sessions are focused on the experience of living with a new diagnosis of MS and provide a shared space for people living with MS to learn, ask questions and connect with others at a similar stage.
If you require a carer or support person to assist you to participate, they are welcome to attend with you. If someone supporting you would like to learn more about MS and how they can support you, we encourage them to join our Navigate MS: Family & Friends session instead.
What to expect:
This program includes two live online group sessions facilitated by an MS Nurse. Each session includes a presentation, opportunities to ask general questions via the chat, and time for discussion.
Participants are welcome to have their camera on or off. As this is a group education program, not all questions can be answered during the sessions, and some questions may be better addressed through individual support.
Sessions are delivered live and are not recorded.
